Night owl living in an early bird world

The alarm starts to ring at the ungodly hour of 4:45 a.m. It's time to wake up, but your brain really doesn't want to stop sleeping. It takes more than a minute -- and a couple presses of the snooze button--of incessant blaring from the alarm clock to finally do it. You wake up sluggishly, unwilling to start to the day right then and there, but knowing that you have to. Waking up early sucks.



Every move you make in those first couple minutes is slow and sluggish, as if it's taking a while for your brain to start up. You wash your face and drink a glass of water. This seems to somewhat work, but you're still vacillating between getting back in bed and starting the day. Sometimes, on cold days, the bed wins. 
Not today though. Time for your morning walk and exercise routine. It's the main reason you wake up so early, but it's completely worth it, as it gives you a boost of energy that carries you through the day. You simply feel better when you walk than when you …
